What Pet PARENTS Are Saying:

Vetted - Primary Veterinary Care

I recently had to find a new vet since our last one closed down. I have been extremely happy with Vetted and would recommend for everyone. It's also super convenient that they've partnered with PUPS- little Chewie can get his checkups while he's in daycare. Highly recommend!!

What is Vetted?

Glad you asked! Vetted is a primary veterinary clinic that is dedicated to keeping your pet healthy. Vetted services can help you prevent stressful and costly health scares via proactive primary care services for your pet. We believe that healthy pets start with the pet parent. At Vetted we empower pet parents with the information and insights they need to give their pets their best lives possible.

How is Vetted Different From a General Veterinary Practice?

For starters, we provide a broad range of services including personalized 1:1 time with our veterinary professionals in a pet-friendly comfortable environment for an exceptional experience for you and your pet. We also create a plan specifically designed for the individual needs of your pet and the tools to keep them healthy in-between primary care visits.

What is Primary Pet Care?

Primary pet care consists of basic and essential healthcare services provided to pets by vets to ensure their overall health and well-being. This includes routine check-ups, vaccinations, parasite prevention, nutrition advice, and treatment of minor illnesses or injuries provided by veterinarians. Primary pet care is similar to primary care for humans, where the goal is to maintain good health and catch any potential issues early.

How Do I Contact Vetted?

We make it as convenient as possible. Contact us via email, phone or via chat on our app. Please visit here to find more information.

What Types of Veterinary Care Does Vetted Offer?

Our veterinarians have seen just about everything when it comes to pet care. Here's a list categorized by symptom, diagnosis, and management:

Skin Conditions
- Symptoms: Itching, scratching redness, hair loss, rashes
- Diagnosis: Skin scraping, allergy testing, biopsy
- Management: Medicated shampoos, antihistamines, steroids, antibiotics, allergy injections, flea/tick prevention

- Symptoms: Frequent urination, blood in urine, straining to urinate

- Management: Antibiotics, diet change, increased water intake, referral

Ear Infections
 - Symptoms: Ear scratching, head shaking, discharge, odor
- Diagnosis: Ear swab analysis
- Management:  Ear cleaning, antibiotic or antifungal ear drops, anti-inflammatory medication

Dental Disease
- Symptoms: Bad breath, drooling, difficulty eating, swollen gums, loss of appetite
- Diagnosis: Oral examination, In house periodontal disease test
- Management: Referral for dental cleaning, client education on at home care, prescription diet

Eye Problems

If a condition is complex or severe, our primary care veterinarian may refer the pet to a specialist for further treatment.

Do You Accept Pet Insurance?

We certainly do! Most pet insurance companies reimburse the pet parent what they pay. We are happy to send records to insurance companies for their processing purposes.

What is a Vet Tech Appointment?

A Vet Tech appointment includes any vaccines (aside from Rabies), heartworm testing, Cytopoint injections, anal gland expressions, nail trims, and ear cleanings.

What Are the Vaccines My Dog Needs?

We recommend the following vaccinations for all healthy adult dogs: Rabies, Distemper Parvo (DaPP/DHPP), Leptospirosis, Bordetella. Additionally, based on your pet’s lifestyle and geographic location, we might recommend the canine influenza vaccination, a Lyme vaccination, or even a rattlesnake vaccination.

Does My Cat Need Vaccines?

Most definitely, and not just limited to the legally required vaccine. Protecting your cat from any illness they might be exposed to ensures a long, healthy life. Remember, even if your cat doesn’t leave the house, you do which could expose them to a health threatening issue. We recommend the following cat vaccines: Rabies, Feline Upper Respiratory, (FVRCP), and Feline Leukemia (FeLV).

Does My Pet Need An Exam Every Time He or She Gets A Vaccine?

Yes, because we need to ensure your pet is healthy enough to receive vaccines. Vaccinating a pet when they’re not well can lead to dangerous complications.

Do You Do Vaccine Titer Testing? What If My Dog Does Not Need a Vaccine?

Do we vaccine titer testing? Absolutely! If the titer tests come back with evidence that your pet does not need a vaccination, we will issue a certificate of titer’s present. Please note, this may not be sufficient for travel on some airlines or internationally.

My Pet Is Itching and Scratching. Does My Pet Have Allergies?

Pet allergies are just one of the potential pet skin issue that you might encounter. A full exam will help us to determine which symptoms of pet allergies your pet is displaying, and help us identify if the issue is something else, like an infection or rash or if it is in fact a pet dermatology issue.

What Are The Signs Of Ear Infections In Dogs and Cats?

Shaking head, scratching/pawing at ears/face, rubbing head on objects, are common symptoms of ear infections in pets. If your pet has any of these signs, it’s time for an appointment!

I Have Never Heard of Pet DNA Testing. What Is It Used For?

Besides finding out the cool combination of breeds for your buddy, pet DNA testing provides information and clarity on the breed composition of your pet. All breeds have health issues that your pet could be susceptible to. We can use that information to formulate a care plan to keep your pet their healthiest as long as possible.

What Should I Expect On The Day of My Pet's Exam?

A great experience from start to finish! If you’re coming in person, our Pet care team will meet you at our daycare partner’s front desk. We’ll check weight and vitals on your pet, and then ask a few questions to establish a baseline of what’s going on with your pet. The Veterinarian will then perform an exam as well as administer any requested vaccines or services. Should you have any questions or want to discuss something with our veterinarian, you are welcome to do so at any time. Once we have completed the exam and requested services, our pet care team will get you checked out and you’ll be on your way. If you’re dropping off your pet, expect a call from our pet care team at the scheduled time of your appointment. They will ask a few questions, and confirm all requested services. Once we’ve completed the exam and services, the Vet will call to review any findings, followed by an email with your exam notes, your invoice, and a link to pay for your visit.

How Do I Make An Appointment?

You can easily make an appointment by scheduling it here. Or you can book your appointment on our app.

We also understand as a busy pet parent you might be in a time crunch and we are happy to have you drop off your pet if you coordinate daycare or boarding with the pet center. We’ll call or text with any updates, and send a summary of your appointment via email or through the Vetted app.

Can I Leave My Pet At Daycare, Grooming And Boarding And Schedule An Appointment When I'm Not There?

Absolutely! If your pet is already scheduled at a partnered location, we would be happy to pull them out for care. We’ll contact you directly with updates.

Do I Need To Download the App?

No, but we highly recommend it. Downloading the Vetted app ensures that you have all the tools, records, and access to everything related to your pets preventative healthcare. You can schedule an appointment without downloading the app but it is always recommended that you have the app downloaded to your phone to easily access all your pet’s health records in one place.
